Our Story

The Laughing Gems are an Asian + Blasian duo making natural wines for all peoples and cuisines of the diaspora. 

When co-founders Tiffani and Jonathan first met, they initially connected over their shared Asian heritages, general joie de vivre, and love of natural wine. After spending hours at The Study Wine Bar in Richmond, CA— a winemaking cooperative focused on making the art of wine accessible to all—they became fascinated with the winemaking process and decided to make the wines they both enjoyed drinking. The duo strive to create wines, and a wine-drinking culture, that celebrate not only their own identities, but everyone else’s, as well.
